After nearly a decade of transformation, faith, and community, we are closing this Faithful Finish Lines chapter. It has been an incredible journey filled with life-changing breakthroughs, weight loss victories, and spiritual growth. As we close, let me speak this blessing for your weight loss journey.
While saying goodbye is never easy, this is not the end but a new beginning.
As we transition into the next step, The Holy Mess Membership (launching April 2025), we invite you to join us in reflection, gratitude, and prayer.
What Will You Pick Up and Put Down?
Throughout a faith and weight loss journey, there are habits, beliefs, and mindsets that we choose to carry forward and others we release. We encourage you to reflect on these as we transition into a new season.
Here’s some of what I’m taking with me and leaving behind.
Pick Up
- Grace
- Healthy habits
- Consistency
- Slow, lasting progress
- Relying on God
- Community and accountability
Put Down
- Shame
- Unhealthy habits
- The diet roller coaster
- Quick fixes that don’t last
- Doing it all alone
- Relying only on willpower
A Faithful Finish Lines Blessing for You
As we close this chapter, we send you off with this prayer of blessing:
May you be zealous for doing good, including with your food choices and healthy habits. For times when it’s difficult to make healthier choices, may you feel God’s extra strength and blessing.
May you never be frightened or overwhelmed. May you continue to set apart Christ in your heart, giving Him all the honor and glory.
When others notice these changes in you, may you be prepared to give an answer for the hope you have, speaking with gentleness and respect.
May you live with abundance and a clear conscience, living out the grace you have received and releasing all shame.
Above all, may God be glorified in you.
Amen.
